Operation

The Thyregod Stone Picker has a rotary drum ensuring break up for perfect separation with an all-in-one stone extraction system to removal vehicles via a rear elevator operated to a traveling or working position by a hydraulic ram.  It has a working width of 1.25m (4'1") and a working depth of up to 30cm (12") depending on conditions.  Ideally there should be some moisture in the prepared area to facilitate the separation of earth from stone and the breaking up of clods.  The Picker has a working speed of 6-12 km/hr according to soil conditions.

When used in conjunction with the Rake the productivity is increased as it can cover more ground though in extremely stony conditions the Picker is best on its own.

Note:  The Stone Picker will only pick up stone in loose ground.
