Stone Raking
Ideally you should rip your ground to a suitable depth to ensure maximum collection of stones. Raking worked ground ahead and forming the stone into rows saves a lot of time as the Picker can cover more acreage in a day, though in the case of extremely thick areas the Picker will do a more thorough collection of stone. The rake will cover more ground quickly where you have scattered stone as it draws a 4m cut at up to a depth of approx. 10cms into a single row. Problem areas can be identified and the most suitable method used. You may only wish to have your stone raked into rows for pickup by your own means or Hillside Contracting can do the job for you.
